Hutto and Cedar Creek data centers file $916M in a week
Seven days apart, two registrations with the state's accessibility program list $916 million of estimated construction in Williamson and Bastrop counties.
Two data-center shells registered with the state in seven days, and together they list $916 million of estimated construction. One is in Hutto, in Williamson County. The other is in Cedar Creek, in Bastrop County. Both start within about four months, an early bid window for contractors.
Why it matters
The filings are made with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation under its Architectural Barriers program, known as TABS. A project owner registers the job before construction. That makes each page an early, public signal of scale, timing and design team.
For general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, the dates are the story. Project Longhorn lists a Nov. 30, 2026 start. Skybox Hutto 4 lists Jan. 20, 2027. Early trades such as civil, site work, structural steel and metal-building erection sit closest to the calendar.
Each figure is a registrant’s estimate, not a price or a loan.

The numbers
Skybox Hutto 4 - Core/Shell, Hutto (Williamson County)
- Estimated cost: $550,000,000, registered Sept. 30, 2026.
- Address on the record: 3399 County Road 132, Hutto, TX 78634.
- Scope: a new core and shell building for future use as a data center. The scope text describes about 844,300 sq ft of data center with about 20,000 sq ft of attached office.
- The scope text adds to about 864,300 sq ft. The record’s total square footage field reads 846,300 sq ft, so we report both.
- Start Jan. 20, 2027, completion Oct. 30, 2028. Design firm: Corgan Associates.
- Outlets have tied Skybox Datacenters to the Hutto campus; TABS is the source for everything else here.
Project Longhorn - Building One, Cedar Creek (Bastrop County)
- Estimated cost: $366,000,000, registered Oct. 7, 2026.
- Address on the record: Earl Callahan Road near Walter Hoffman Road, Cedar Creek, TX 78612.
- Scope: one story, about 498,165 gross sq ft, a pre-engineered metal building. Occupancy is data center (S-1) with business (B) and an assembly (A-2) accessory use.
- Start Nov. 30, 2026, completion Jan. 31, 2028. Design firm: Gensler.
- The registered owner, an individual, is not named here.
Combined: $550,000,000 plus $366,000,000 equals $916,000,000 in declared project cost. The start dates are 10 weeks apart.
Outlets including Baxtel have reported developer and tenant names for the Cedar Creek campus. None of that appears on the TABS page, so we do not treat it as confirmed.
What’s next
- Bid activity. A Nov. 30, 2026 start means early packages should move soon. Look to the design firms of record, Gensler and Corgan.
- Power and permits. TABS says nothing about electric service, and that will decide whether the dates hold.
- Revisions. Registrants can change cost and dates after filing.
