Hedrick Brothers Construction has broken ground on a multi-year, multi-phase transformation of The Club at Ibis in West Palm Beach, with preconstruction and site work underway since Aug. 4. The West Palm Beach-based general contractor is delivering the job under a Construction Manager at Risk contract, according to citybiz.

The numbers
The scope runs across the club’s North and South campuses in phases. Phase 1 covers interior renovations to the Main Clubhouse. Later phases add upgrades to the main racquet facilities, new pickleball and padel courts, a new spa building, a Member Activity Center inside the former Property Owners Association building, new bocce and basketball courts, a renovated and expanded fitness center, and a new casual restaurant with outdoor seating. No project cost has been disclosed by the club or the contractor.

Hedrick Brothers is structuring the work to keep member operations running through each phase rather than closing the campus for a single continuous build, a sequencing choice CMAR contracts are built to accommodate. With no completion date yet released, expect the clubhouse interior and fitness center work to move first, with the racquet, spa and Member Activity Center phases following over the next several years.
