The biggest open public bid on the South Florida board this week is a development play: Delray Beach is soliciting a mixed-use project for the SW 600, 700 and 800 blocks of West Atlantic Avenue. Responses are due Dec. 2.

Why it matters

The Delray Beach solicitation, numbered CRA No. 2026-05, was posted Oct. 7 and gives respondents about seven weeks. It is a site-specific development opportunity rather than a routine works contract, which makes it the one to watch for developers and the contractors who team with them.

The rest of the board is built-environment work with near deadlines, so the next two weeks are the window to price.

The numbers

Closing first, on Oct. 14, are two Miami-Dade County items: the MDSO Kendall District restroom, locker room, gym and operations center renovations, and the MIA Skyride structural assessment and design repairs. On Oct. 15, Miami Beach closes its Convention Center restroom renovation (26-1720-037).

On Oct. 26, Miami-Dade closes the 8-inch PVC force main and water main job on SW 152nd St, which we covered last week. Broward County closes two on Oct. 30: the West Copans rehabilitation and redevelopment public notice and Separated Shared Use Path Phase 1.

Later dates: Delray Beach’s Water Treatment Plant 4-log, chemical system and SCADA improvements (ITBC 2026-043) on Nov. 4, Miami Beach’s North Beach stormwater quality improvements on Nov. 20, and Miami-Dade’s South Dade Landfill Cell 5 side slopes stormwater drainage work on Jan. 4, 2027. The wire shows no estimates for these, so we cite none.

What’s next

Miami-Dade’s items sit on the county’s procurement portal rather than a per-bid page, so confirm addenda and dates there before pricing. We will track the West Atlantic responses through Dec. 2 and update the board as new solicitations post. More South Florida coverage is at South Florida.
