Liberty Bankers Life Insurance Company took title to 24.983 acres in Collin County under a deed recorded Oct. 19, 2026. It is the second Dallas-Fort Worth land deed recorded to the insurer this month, and neither discloses a price.

Why it matters

The Collin County deed, instrument 2026000138620, was signed Oct. 16, 2026. Its grantors are a group of family members and the executor of an estate, which points to heirs settling a deceased owner’s land rather than a developer selling it. Texas deeds carry no sale price, so the record does not show what Liberty Bankers paid.

A second deed, Tarrant County instrument D226194095, conveyed land in Fort Worth to the insurer from TX Cooley Sub III LLC. It was dated Oct. 1, 2026 and recorded Oct. 5, 2026. Neither deed names a builder, a project or a development entity. For brokers and land buyers, that makes Liberty Bankers a recorded owner of two DFW sites with no stated plan.

The numbers

The Collin deed covers 24.983 acres across two parcels in the William H. Thomason Survey, Abstract 895. The Tarrant deed covers two parcels in the P.R.R. Co. Survey in Fort Worth, and its legal description lists no acreage. No deed of trust tied to either deed has posted to the county wires as of this edition.

What’s next

No permit, TDLR registration or rezoning filing has posted against either site. If Liberty Bankers builds, sells or ground-leases, the next public record would be a permit, a TDLR TABS registration or a new deed.
