Red Oak $176M build registered 665 days after its stated start
The state filing lists a start date more than 21 months old and a Dec. 12, 2026 finish, with no tenant or end use named.
A $176M, 285,310 sq ft ground-up building in Red Oak entered the state’s accessibility registry on Oct. 8, 2026, listing a start date of Dec. 12, 2024. For contractors and suppliers in Ellis County, it is a large job with a finish date about two months out and no public end user.
Why it matters
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) registration for project RED2A, number TABS2027003112, is a primary record of a planned project’s owner and cost. The site is 330 N. Austin Blvd., Red Oak, TX 75154, in Ellis County. The scope reads only “NEW GROUND UP CONSTRUCTION BUILDING,” typed as new construction, and the filing says the project is privately funded, on private land, for private use.
The record does not say what the building is for and names no tenant. We are not characterizing its use. The owner of record is Alamo Mission LLC, with a Mountain View, California address (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway) and a listed contact, Adam Merkel. The design firm is Corgan.
The filing does not explain the 665-day gap, and it does not say whether construction began on that date. For Dallas-Fort Worth trades and suppliers, the practical read is that the start date on the form is not a reliable schedule signal.
The numbers
- Cost: $176M, as registered.
- Size: 285,310 sq ft.
- Stated start: Dec. 12, 2024.
- Stated completion: Dec. 12, 2026.
- Filed: Oct. 8, 2026, which is 665 days after the stated start.
We ran the owner through the Texas Comptroller franchise tax lookup. It returns a Delaware limited liability company, active in Texas since Feb. 6, 2019, with Corporation Service Company as registered agent at 211 E. 7th Street, Suite 620, Austin. One manager is listed for 2025: Gary M. DeMasi, at the same California address. The lookup does not identify a parent company or an end user, so we name no operating brand.
What’s next
Watch for a Red Oak building permit, a utility or power filing, or a certificate of occupancy, any of which would show the real schedule and use. TDLR registrations typically trigger an accessibility review and inspection near completion, so a Dec. 12, 2026 target would put that inspection in the next few months. For other large TDLR registrations in the region, see the DFW data center pipeline. We will update if the record changes.
