LADBS issued a $3 million supplemental permit on Oct. 22 that revises the plans for a 34-unit apartment building at 10401 W. Eastborne Ave. in Westwood.

For contractors bidding Westside multifamily work, this is a live job with a revised scope, not a dormant filing.

Why it matters

The permit, 18010-10004-05494, supplements an earlier permit, 18010-10000-05494, first filed in 2018 at the same address. Work that started on paper eight years ago is still being redesigned in 2026. The revisions touch every floor, from plumbing walls to HVAC shafts. The city’s dataset names no owner, developer or contractor, and we could not confirm one through other public records, so no company is named here.

The numbers

The declared valuation is $3.0 million. That is the value of the revised work declared to the city, not a sale price or a loan. LADBS received the supplemental filing on Jan. 30 and issued it on Oct. 22, nearly nine months later. The address is listed as units 1 through 34. The record lists these changes:

  • revised floor plans and allowable openings
  • revised car and bicycle parking
  • a trash chute on all floors and a reconfigured basement trash and recycling room
  • non-structural furred walls for plumbing on all floors
  • 2-hour rated shafts for HVAC refrigerant lines on all floors
  • a relocated basement elevator room, with framing updated to match

The parcel is zoned [Q]R3-1-O, in Council District 5 and the Westwood community plan area.

What’s next

The next records to watch are inspections and a final sign-off on the parent 2018 permit. Less than a mile east, LADBS issued a $3.2 million permit the same day for a condo remodel at The Century in Century City. More Westside filings are tracked on our Los Angeles page.
