SMS InfoComm Corporation has registered a $6.0 million renovation of a testing room at its Grapevine facility, 4051 State Highway 121, per a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation TABS filing dated Oct. 26, 2026. The work covers 3,048 sq ft of interior renovation plus an exterior mechanical enclosure.

Why it matters

SMS InfoComm operates as Service Management Solutions, a device repair, returns and product life-cycle services provider. The City of Grapevine lists it as a major local employer with roughly 4,000 technicians and professionals worldwide. At about $1,970 per sq ft, the registered cost is high for interior work, consistent with the mechanical scope on the filing. For DFW contractors, it is a specialty interiors and mechanical job with no contractor or design firm yet named on the record.

The numbers

The filing lists a $6.0 million estimated cost for 3,048 sq ft, with work set to start Nov. 20, 2026, and finish April 20, 2027. The project is privately funded on private land, and the record says the owner, not a tenant, is paying for it. The owner’s listed address is Suite 100 at the same Highway 121 site. TDLR lists the site’s county as Dallas, but the address is in the city of Grapevine, not Dallas.

What’s next

The filing names no tenant, contractor or design firm. Watch the TDLR record for those assignments and for a Grapevine building permit at the address before the Nov. 20 start. Texas rules also require the owner to get a registered accessibility inspection within one year of completion, which would put that check by April 2028.
