YES Prep Files $20M Plan for North Rankin Secondary Campus

YES Prep Public Schools, the Houston-based charter network, registered a $20.0 million project with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on Oct. 22 for a new three-story secondary school building called North Rankin Secondary. The filing lists the site at 13750 Northborough Dr. in north Houston, near Greenspoint, with Element Architects as the design firm. Construction is estimated to run from May 2027 to July 2028.

Why it matters

The new address is distinct from YES Prep’s existing North Rankin Elementary at 12537 Kuykendahl Rd. A standalone secondary building, rather than an expansion of the elementary site, points to YES Prep committing capital to a second campus in the same north Houston cluster.
