Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. registered a $25.1 million industrial training building in northeast Houston with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. A Harris County warranty deed put the 21.9 acre site in the company’s name one day earlier.

Why it matters

The registration, TABS2027004590, describes a 335,000 sq ft office, training and shop building with a parking lot at 0 Common Dock, Houston, Texas 77044. It calls for pre-engineered metal and steel frame with tilt-wall construction.

Mitsubishi Power sells and services gas and steam turbines for power plants. A building this size for training and shop work points to permanent service capacity in the Houston area. For contractors and suppliers, it is a $25 million private job with a start date already on file.

The numbers

TDLR lists the estimated cost at $25,125,000, with a start date of November 30, 2026 and completion on September 3, 2027. The project is privately funded on private land. The design firm of record is Urban Construction SW.

The land changed hands the day before the registration. Harris County Clerk File Number RP-2026-433314, a warranty deed recorded October 27, 2026, shows MRA GP West LP, MRA Northeast GP LLC, MRA Northeast LP and West Gen-Par GP LLC deeding a 21.927 acre tract to Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. The legal description is Blanco V, Abstract 2. Harris County deed records carry no sale price, and the File Number routes into the clerk’s record search.

What’s next

Construction is set to run about nine months, from November 30 to September 3, 2027. The next filings to watch are a building permit for the parcel and, near completion, a certificate of occupancy. More on the metro: Houston.
