Santikos Enterprises borrowed $75 million from Prosperity Bank and pledged five of its theater properties as collateral, per five deeds of trust recorded with the Bexar County Clerk on Oct. 23, 2026.

Each deed lists the same loan, No. 575399, with a $75,000,000 original principal amount and a final scheduled payment date of Oct. 22, 2030. The five pledging entities are Santikos Casa Blanca SA Theater Realty, Santikos Palladium Realty, Santikos Mayan Realty, Santikos Embassy SA Theater Realty and Silverado SA Theater Realty. The Casa Blanca deed is instrument 20260208225.

Why it matters

This is one loan spread across five buildings, not five loans. Recording a separate deed of trust against each theater lets one bank hold the whole local real estate base behind a single note. Santikos is San Antonio’s homegrown circuit, and its profits flow to charity. The San Antonio Report has reported that since 2014 the company’s theater and real estate profits have gone to the community through a charitable foundation overseen by the San Antonio Area Foundation. The same outlet reported the chain’s plan to grow from 121 screens to 377 by buying the AmStar and Grand theater circuits. The deeds do not say what the $75 million will fund.

The numbers

  • $75 million original principal on Prosperity Bank loan No. 575399
  • 5 deeds of trust, instruments 20260208221 through 20260208225
  • 5 theater properties pledged as collateral
  • Oct. 22, 2030, final scheduled payment date
  • Recorded Oct. 23, 2026, Bexar County Clerk

What’s next

No sale or ownership change was recorded with the deeds, so the theaters stay with their Santikos entities. A release of lien in the Bexar County records would mark an early payoff. Any new Santikos deeds or liens will show up in the same index. More on the metro: San Antonio.
