Publix paid $83.3 million for Airpark Plaza, and it was not the only nine-figure-adjacent trade in South Florida this week. Here is the ranking by dollar amount, with what each one means for agents.

Why it matters

Three very different buyers moved money in the same seven days: a grocer, a private luxury buyer and a Houston hotel investor. For agents, that spread says capital is still finding Miami across retail, trophy residential and hospitality.

The numbers

  1. Airpark Plaza, 5705 NW 7th St, near MIA: $83.3M. Publix bought it from First Washington Realty, per The Real Deal. We are covering it in a standalone story today.
  2. Golden Beach mansion: $70M. A Treo CEO sold the home, The Real Deal reported. We could not confirm the address or per-square-foot figure from an accessible source.
  3. Arlo Wynwood, 2217 NW Miami Ct: $44.3M deed price. Dauntless Capital Partners of Houston bought the 217-key, nine-story, 144,848 sf hotel from Quadrum Global, with a $43M BMO acquisition loan, according to Commercial Observer. The reported $65M headline price includes furniture, fixtures and operations, about $299,540 per key on that basis.

Quadrum paid $8.6 million for the 0.8-acre site in 2018, per Commercial Observer, and built the hotel, which opened in 2022. Our earlier read is in Quadrum Global sells Arlo Wynwood hotel.

What’s next

Watch whether the Arlo deed price versus the $65M all-in figure sets a pattern for hotel comps, since the gap changes how brokers pitch value. The Golden Beach trade is a ceiling marker for oceanfront listings in the northern Miami-Dade enclave. More deal flow is tracked on the South Florida hub.
