Two private projects registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) on Oct. 13, 2026, and together they carry $30,000,000 in filed cost across 227,280 sq ft. One is a guestroom renovation at the Hilton Houston Westchase in Harris County. The other is a theater remodel and entertainment addition for EVO Entertainment in Fort Bend County.

Why it matters

Both filings are Texas Accessibility Standards (TABS) registrations, the state record that a project of this size is planned. Neither is a permit, so neither confirms a contractor or a final scope. They do put owner cost estimates on file, with both starts set before year end.

The Hilton filing is a renovation, not new supply. The owner, MLSA Deal 2, LP, registered work on guestrooms, guestroom bathrooms and corridors at 9999 Westheimer Rd in Houston. The design firm listed is Portfolio for Hospitality. The EVO filing is a mixed remodel and addition: the owner, West Katy Ventures LLC, lists a remodel of an existing theater plus demolition and an addition for bowling, arcade and laser tag, with EVOke Design + Architecture as the design firm.

For subcontractors, the two jobs sit in different trades. Westchase is a repeat-room finish package. Fulshear is a larger structural and entertainment fit-out. For context on other filings in the metro, see the earlier Houston TABS roundup and the Houston market page.

The numbers

  • Hilton Houston Westchase (TABS2027003415): $17,000,000, 157,000 sq ft, Harris County. Estimated start Dec. 1, 2026, completion July 1, 2027. Filed cost works out to about $108 per sq ft (our math).
  • EVO Entertainment Fulshear (TABS2027003413): $13,000,000, 70,280 sq ft, Fort Bend County. Estimated start Nov. 15, 2026, completion June 15, 2027. Filed cost works out to about $185 per sq ft (our math).
  • Combined: $30,000,000 and 227,280 sq ft (our sum).

The EVO site is at 26616 FM 1093. TDLR lists its city as Richmond, but the project name and the address place it in the Fulshear area of Fort Bend County. Filed cost is the owner’s estimate at registration and can change.

What’s next

EVO’s start date of Nov. 15, 2026 is the nearer of the two, about a month out. Hilton’s window opens Dec. 1, 2026. Watch for Fort Bend and City of Houston permit activity and any contractor announcements, which would confirm the scope and budgets above. Neither filing names a general contractor.
