Two nonprofits face Nov. 3 Harris County trustee sales

The notices name the lenders and cite recorded deeds of trust. A posting is not a sale, and either sale can be cancelled.

Two Texas nonprofit corporations, Center for Success and Independence, Inc. and Houston Serenity Place, Inc., have trustee-sale notices on file with the Harris County Clerk. Both list a Nov. 3, 2026 sale.

Why it matters

Both are commercial secured loans, and both notices name an institutional lender. For agents and developers, a posting is an early signal that two parcels may reach the Nov. 3 auction. Either sale can be cancelled, paid off or postponed before then.

The first notice, FRCL-2026-7478, was filed Oct. 8, 2026 for Center for Success and Independence, Inc. The noteholder is Zions Bancorporation, N.A., doing business as Amegy Bank. The property is 3722 Pinemont Drive, Houston 77018. The notice says the sale begins no earlier than 10:00 a.m. CT.

The second, FRCL-2026-7195, was filed Sept. 30, 2026 for Houston Serenity Place, Inc. The lender is EP Guardian Fund, LLC, a California company. The notice gives a legal description and no street address.

The numbers

The Pinemont notice lists a note dated Feb. 25, 2022, with an original principal amount of $3,192,000. It cites deeds of trust recorded as RP-2022-109783 and RP-2023-373645 in Harris County real property records.

The Serenity Place notice lists a note dated Mar. 14, 2025, with an original principal amount of $2,800,000, modified and amended to $3,200,000. The deed of trust is RP-2025-150748, amended by RP-2026-283772. Learning Place, Inc. is a co-grantor.

The collateral is described as Lots 44 through 48 and following, Block 29, Highland Heights Annex No. 6. We read the first five lots and did not confirm the full lot count. We have not matched the lots to a street address, so no appraised value is given.

The notices do not state a balance owed or a minimum bid. Both amounts are as the notices list them, read from scanned images.

What’s next

Texas foreclosures are non-judicial, so the notice is the public record, not a lawsuit. Sales run on the first Tuesday of the month at the location the Commissioners Court designates. A notice must post at least 21 days before the sale.

Watch the clerk’s file for a rescission, a trustee’s deed after Nov. 3, or a revised notice. For the full docket of Nov. 3 postings, see Harris County Nov. 3 trustee sales and the Houston hub.
