Randolph-Brooks FCU records $3M loan on San Antonio commercial lot

The San Antonio-based credit union is the lender on the filing, which does not say whether the loan funded a purchase or a refinance.

Oct. 26RECORDED

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union is the lender on a deed of trust of about $3 million recorded Oct. 26, 2026, against commercial property in San Antonio’s Executive Center subdivision. Bexar County Clerk instrument 20260208779, signed Oct. 22, names the borrower as Abilene Building 2020 LLC and the collateral as Lot 4, Block 4, New City Block 14277.

Why it matters

Randolph-Brooks is best known locally as a consumer lender. A seven-figure commercial deed of trust shows the San Antonio-based credit union also lending against business property in Bexar County. For owners of small commercial parcels, the filing is a reminder that a local credit union, not only a bank or a debt fund, competes for acquisition and refinance loans at this size.

The numbers

The deed of trust references a note in the original principal amount of about $3 million. The clerk’s machine-read text shows $3,000,006, a figure we round because we have not confirmed it against the page image. The 36-page instrument covers the Executive Center #1-T subdivision under New City Block 14277, and the county index ties it to two parcel entries. It was signed Oct. 22, 2026, and recorded four days later. Texas deeds carry no sale price, so the loan amount is the only dollar figure on the record.

What’s next

The filing does not say whether the loan financed a purchase or a refinance of property the borrower already held. Any later release of lien, or a substitute trustee filing, would post to the county index against the same instrument and parcel. On the record

The note's original principal amount, read in the text of the recorded deed of trust itself (machine-read at $3,000,006, so we round to $3 million), not taken from a wire snippet.
